Georgiana and Michael were members of the All Souls' Church for the Deaf in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. On 10 December 1900, the following notice appeared The Philadelphia Inquirer, Pennsylvania:

"The twelfth anniversary of All Souls' Church for the Deaf, Franklin street, above Green, was celebrated in an appropriate manner on Saturday evening. The main attraction was a series of interesting views thrown on canvas by a powerful steropticon, after which refreshments, consisting of ice cream, cake and sandwiches, were served to all present.

All Souls' Church was founded in the year 1888 by the late Rev. Henry Winter Syle. Before the founding of the church[,] services were held in no definite place, but through the untiring efforts of Rev. Mr. Syle the church was purchased, and now the deaf of Philadelphia rejoice in the fact that they have a church of their own.

Upon the death of Mr. Syle, Rev. J. M. Koehler was appointed to fill his place, which he has held ever since. Mrs. M. J. Syle, widow of Mr Syle, is lady visitor of the church; Mr. John M. Wismer, superintendent, and Mr. M. Higgins, sexton. James S. Reider is temporarily lay reader. Services are held regularly in All Souls' Church every Sunday at 2.30 in the afternoon. Doors open at 1.30. Strangers are always welcome to visit the church."
