The Memorial of John SlafterS1 states that no record of Joseph's marriage to Esther (maiden name unknown) has been found. That document lists their children as:

  • Joseph, b. probably about 1721; d. Aug. 13, 775; m. Hannah Covel.
  • Esther, b. July 26, 1723; m. Timothy Grover, and was a widow living in South Hoosuck, Mass., (?) at the settlement of her father's estate, June 16, 1788.
  • John, d. in mansfield, Ct., 1725-6; d. Feb. 8, 1821; m. Elizabeth Handell.
  • Abraham, b. Oct. 7, 1731; d. anterior to 1795, at which date his estate was settled. He m. Hannah Adams.
