Joseph was 64 years, 7 months and 28 days old when he died.

Joseph's obituary reads, "FARMER DIES OF INJURIES - Joseph Ryan, 64 Is Accident Victim. Injuries received Tuesday afternoon when he was thrown from his farm wagon by a runaway team of horses were fatal to Joseph Ryan, 64, of R.R.#2, New Haven, who died last night at 10:15 o'clock at St. Joseph's Hospital. Dr. Walter Kruse, Allen County coroner, said the man suffered a concussion of the brain. He returned a verdict of accidental death. The death was the 100th investigated by the coroner's office since January 1, Dr. Kruse said. Ryan's body was taken to the Harper & Sons Funeral Home at New Haven."
