Genealogies of the Families and Descendants of the Early Settlers of Watertown, Massachusetts, Including Waltham and Weston (1855), p. 373; and Source:Morse, J. Howard. Morse Genealogy : Comprising the Descendants of Samuel, Anthony, William and Joseph Morse and John Moss : Being a Revision of the, p. 18; list two daughters named Elizabeth in this family. No explanation is given how these daughters are attributed. The older one shown m. 1712 John Thatcher who d. 1744 - so would presumably need to be born by 1695, and probably before Joseph. The the younger one bp. 1709 m. 1730 John Cloyes who remarried about 1748. These men were married to their wives at the same time, so it could not be the same woman, so this is definitely asserting two daughters named Elizabeth. The older one is wrong. The probate record show a guardian being appointed for Elizabeth aged under 14 in 1714, and only one Elizabeth is listed. She is listed last in the settlement so presumably the youngest daughter.
