  2.   In the 1880 census, a Sarah Hanscomb is living alone in a household in Buxton, age 57. The age is an excellent match, making it likely this is the correct Sarah. Is she a widow again? But...

In the same census, a Joseph G Hanscom, age 51, is living with his mother Jane [widow of Benjamin Carle Hanscom] in Buxton. He was also living with his widowed mother in the 1870 census. Is this the same Joseph G. Hanscomb before and after a failed marriage in 1875? There doesn't seem to be any other Joseph Hanscom in the 1860 or 1870 census.
