  2.   The marriage date is puzzling. It is not included the the published Branford vital records; however, the Branford VR has a Joseph Foot(e), son of Joseph and Abigail, born 20 June 1691. The Foote genealogy says the marriage occurred 1690, obviously based on the 1691 birth of the eldest known child. Jacobus's records may have confused this marriage with the marriage of one Joseph Lines to a different Abigail Johnson, 30/31 March 1692 per New Haven Vital Records (1:65, 76).
