Joseph Bull … "m. (1) by 1672 Sarah Manning (eldest known child b. Hartford 11 July 1672 [HaVR 585]; on 6 October 1672, 'Joseph Bull and his wife' were admitted to Hartford Second Church, having been 'dismissed from Cambridge' ['Hartford, Connecticut, Records of the Second Church of Christ' (Hartford 1914)]; in the 22 March 1692/3 distribution of the 'estate of Mr. W[illia]m Manning late of Cambridge deceased,' reference was made to what 'Joseph Bull hath had with his wife Sarah' [MPR 8:162]). … (Some secondary sources give a precise date for (this) marriage, but no such record is found in Cambridge or Hartford records or elsewhere.)"
