Source:Sumner, William H. Memoir of Increase Sumner, Governor of Massachusetts, p. 53, lists a daughter Fanny, b. 31 Aug 1782, and a son who was b. and d. 7 Mar 1783. No further information about Fanny is given, nor has been found. None of these events are found in the Roxbury VRs, and since the two births are just a few days more than 6 months apart, this information is probably flawed.

Source:Williams, Stephen W. Genealogy and History of the Family of Williams in America : More Particularly of the Descendants of Robert Williams of Roxbury, p. 299, is no help, as neither of these children are mentioned at all. However, some of the information that is listed for this family is wrong, so credibility is damaged. Specifically, it lists "Amos, born June 16, 1776, died Oct. 10, 1777". There is no record of an Amos, and the dates appear to misreport dates belonging to the first Amy, by adding a year to each. We can only be sure about the birth, which is actually 1775 based on a recorded baptism. The discrepancy in the death date is merely a difference between two secondary sources, as no primary record of the death has been located.
