JOHN POOLE...; m. by 1687 Joanna Smith (eldest known child b. Weymouth 21 October 1687), daughter of James Smith (in his will of 4 August 1690, John Poole included a bequest to "my beloved wife Johannah Poole," made her his executrix, and appointed "my father James Smith Senior & my brother Joseph Poole" as his overseers [SPR 8:39])
