John (Peat), Jr., … married Sarah Osborn, dau. of Richard; she m (2) 25 Mar. 1685, John Brooks. The "deed of gift" given by Richard Osborn 1682 provided £1 apiece for the seven children of his dau. Sarah. Samuel and John Peat, Sarah Lake, Hannah Wakelee, and Elizabeth Patterson, children of John Peat of Stratford dec'd, conveyed 1694 to mother Sarah Brooks and father-in-law John Brooks.
