Sarah Eddy (John, William), b in England and came with her parents on the "Handmaid," on 29 Oct 1630, to New England. She d 3 Feb. 1709/10 at Boston. About 1640 she married John Marion, a cordwainer of Watertown, MA. (In the early records this name has various spellings, Marion, Merion, Meryon, Meriam, Merriam, Miriam, etc. Several of these occur among the descendants). He was the son of Isaac Marion of Sebbe, Co. Essex, Eng., for on 6 Dec. 1648, "John Marion appointed John Marion Sen't, of Braintree, Eng., his Att'y to collect what was due him from the estate of his father, Isaac Marion, late of Stebbe, Co. Essex, Eng.
