"Eleanor, of Thomas, born 1720, April 25. Married John Knight. She died in 1775, he died after 1771. John was of John, of the first Richard, of Newport, 1648."

The Vital Records say that Eleanor married Jonathan Bennett in 1748. While it is possible that she married John Knight (whose wife's name in 1758 was Eleanor) after Jonathan died, it is also possible that this book is mistaken and John Knight married a different Eleanor. If he didn't marry Eleanor Stafford, then his wife Eleanor might have been his only wife and the mother of his children.
