Info from Scott Mueller's research: "In 1856 John Wesley and Lorinda Hartwell moved to Iowa. Their daughter Annie was born there in 1863-4. Lorinda died 12/6/1863 and this may well have been in childbirth. John Wesley remarried about a year after this and was later divorced. He died in Eldora, Iowa in 1897. All this can explain why young Annie was living with her aunt back in Ohio. Walter George Hunt (Jr.) lived with Erasmus (Rasmus) and Anne Hartwell in 1850, so he was with the parents of his brother-in-law. "...married Lorinda Hunt (she was of Austinburg, Ashtabula County when she married) b. in Camillus, NY 8/8/1825."

1850 OH Census for Harpersfield, Ashtabula Co. shows (p. 415): John W. Hartwell, sawyer, age 37, b. VT; Lorinda Hartwell, age 25, b. NY.
