John Buck's wife [first child born 1653] was Elizabeth, daughter of Samuel Holbrook of Weymouth.
[Note: this appears to be an error by Deane. Source:Chamberlain, George Walter. History of Weymouth, Massachusetts, Vol. 3, p. 270, does not show any Samuel Holbrook that could have had children young enough to marry by 1653. William Holbrook, however, had a daughter Elizabeth who was named Elizabeth Buck in his will of 1696. But this was her second marriage, after her first husband John Sprague who she married in 1666 and who died in 1683, and so she could not have been the mother of John Buck's children.]
