Kendall, Joel and Wid. Anna Crosby, Dec. 31, 1822.
I have seen this pairing on a few websites, but no second marriage is mentioned for Joel in Source:Kendall genealogy : the descendants of Thomas and Francis Kendall of Charlestown and Woburn, Massachusetts; set forth in rhyme by Anstis Kendall Miles in 1855; now. This is nearly a year after Joel's first wife died, and the son Joel is only 21 on this date, and probably unlikely to marry a widow. The son does marry a Rebecca Chase in 1828. So it looks valid to assign this marriage to this Joel Kendall, but there is virtually no indication of who this widow Anna Crosby is. There is no death of a likely Mr. Crosby, nor a death or remarriage of Anna Kendall, in Athol. (Note: not that it would apply, since Joel did not die until 1834, but the widow Anna Kendall who dies in Athol in 1824 is the widow of Jonathan Kendall, not this woman.)
