Richard Hiscock (1758-1840) enlisted, 1775, as private in Capt. James Mellen's company, Col. Jonathan Ward's regiment, Massachusetts [p.279] troops. He served other enlistments until 1781. His widow received a pension. He was born in Hopkinton, Mass.; died in Pompey, N. Y.
