Notes for JAMES MARVIN ROBINSON: As a child, he attended rural school. He enjoyed spelling bees and took first in cipherin contests. As a young man in Miller, Nebraska, he worked for the Gilcrest Lumber Company. He met Minnie when she was visiting relatives. They had 3 children. Marvin ran a grocery store for years in Miller, Buffalo Co., Nebraska. He had built a home for the family and later sold it to L. P. Rose and moved to Kearney, Nebraska. He established a coal business and built another family home. Years later, the family moved to Seattle, Washington, then to Portland, Oregon and in 1912, they returned to Miller, Nebraska and bought the frame Hardware store. Later, the brick store was built about 1914. He sold Liberty bonds for the government at rallies during World War I.

Notes for THELMA ROBINSON: Thelma married a fellow University student and minister. They moved to Los Angeles where he served four churches in the area until 1968. They had two daughters. They lived in a retirement community at Claremont, California.
