Immediately above Sarah's baptism (26 Aug 1850) and birth in the manuscript image of the baptismal register were the baptisms of three more children of James and Mary not found in the 1851 census. The details are as follows:

  • No. 1605. born May 3, 1840. Allen, son of James and Mary Hirst of Braysfield Cottage (father's occ'n: slubber)
  • No. 1606. born Nov 9, 1847. Eliza Ann, daughter of James and Mary Hirst of Braysfield Cottage (father's occ'n: slubber)
  • No. 1607. born Dec 26, 1846. Eliz'th, daughter of James and Mary Hirst of Braysfield Cottage (father's occ'n: slubber)

Deaths before the 1851 census have been found for each, either in Civil Registrations or in West Yorkshire Burials, but any of the three may be doubtful. Parentage is not given in burial registers or in the civil register, but since Sarah's baptism follows immediately after, it is to be assumed that they are of the same family.
