↑Source:Daniels, George F. History of the Town of Oxford, Massachusettsp. 730 says Benoni Twitchell was living in 1749, apparently based on an expense submitted for feeding him while he laid out some land for the town. This seems incongruous because he was not a resident of Oxford at the time, and it may be that the date given only reflects when the expense was submitted and paid by the town, and not when the work was done. Otherwise, all appearances are that Benoni Twitchell gave all his land to his sons in March 1744-5 and probably died in the Cape Breton expedition and that it was his widow, Hannah (Allen) Twitchell, that married James Coller in 1746.
