Will of Daniel Whitehead of Jamaica, dated 13 Nov 1703, names "my son in law, Jacob Doughty, the husband of my daughter Amy". Codicil dated 9 Dec 1703 mentions "my daughter Amy, wife of Jacob Doughty".

... The following list of their children is furnished by Mr. Barclay White of Mount Holly, New Jersey, who is a lineal descendant of Jacob Doughty and who certifies that it is a correct copy of the record in the family bible of Daniel Doughty which is now in his possessian [sic]. The dates being given in "olde style" allowance must be made as follows: ... Eleven days should be added to correspond exactly with our modern dates, but for the purpose of this record this change is not made. Old stile:

- Anne Doughty wife of Jacob Doughty was born ye 17th of 6 mo. 1679.
- Jacob Doughty son of Jacob and Anne Doughty was Born ye 27th of 10 mo. 169-.
- Abigaile Doughty was Born ye 15th of 2 mo. 1697.
- Mary Doughty was Born ye 17th of 2 mo. 1699.
- Sarah Doughty was Born ye 19th of 11 mo. 1701.
- Amme Doughty was Born ye 30th of 4 mo. 1702.
- Daniel Doughty was Born ye 17th of 10 mo. 1703.
- Deborah Doughty was Born ye 23rd of 6 mo. 1705.
- Elizabeth Doughty was Born ye first of 1 mo. 1707.
- Easter Doughty was Born ye 17th of 8 mo. 1708.
- Ann Doughty was Born ye 10 of 8 mo. 1710.
- Hannah Doughty was Born ye 2 of 2 mo. 1712.
- Abigaile Doughty Jrn was Born ye 28th of 8 mo. 1717.
- Ann Doughty Jun was Born ye 28th of 8 mo. 1717.
- Deborah Doughty Jun was Born ye 12th of 3 mo. 1720.
The above is a true copy of a record in Daniel Doughty's family Bible, now in my possession.
The last figure of the year of Jacob Doughty, Jr.'s, birth is ommitted [sic] in the original.
Marriages and deaths of Jacob Doughty's family are not recorded in said Bible.
