Isaac had three wives: Sarah Budd (probably d/o Elisha Budd and Ann Lyon), Deborah ____, and Mary _____. Presumably this last one is Mary Hart. The children of Isaac Purdy had the names Ann 1751, Sarah 1757, Isaac 1759, Hannah 1763, Budd 1765, Jonathan 1768, Elisha 1773. Mead and McKenzie list a Gilbert Purdy as son but other researchers have been unable to place a Gilbert in this family. This list of names fits Sarah Budd and her ancestry, and Isaac's ancestry but does not reflect the Hart family. If Mary Hart was born in 1694 she certainly was not having children in the 1751 to 1773 time period. Perhaps the source of this information indicated the name of Isaac's wife at the time he died, which would be Mary, not Sarah, but the children are by Sarah, not Mary.
