- ↑ The Royalston VRs show the baptism of 8 children to Isaac and Mehitable on 20 May 1770: Aaron, Cornelius, David, John, Judith, Lucy, Reuben, and Sarah. Birth records for only 7 children have been located with no obvious gaps in time, and even those names do not match well (David and Judith are the only names that overlap). But looking for other families with children of those names, it turns out the baptisms belong to Family:Cornelius Putnam and Elizabeth Perkins (1), NOT, as Source:Leonard, Ermina Newton. Newton Genealogy, p. 632, says: "These are all the children of Isaac and Mehitable".
Source:Gale, George. Gale Family Records in England and the United States : To Which Are Added the Tottingham Family of New England, and Some Account of the, p. 6, incorrectly interprets the birth of Jonas as James, so shows no Jonas in this family even though he is named in the distribution of the father's estate. Instead he shows three sons named James, two dying young, one death incorrectly inferred by the assumption there were three, in addition to the death that was actually recorded and real.
