August 27, 1914, p. 8, col. 4, Evansville Review, Evansville, Wisconsin: MARRIAGE OF MISS MABEL TULLIS BECOMES BRIDE OF HERBERT J. LANE, THURSDAY, AUGUST 21,

A very pretty wedding was solemnized at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. P. Tullis near Brooklyn, Thursday afternoon, August 21. The occasion was the marriage of their daughter Mabel to Mr. Herbert J. Lane. At 5 o'clock in the afternoon, Miss Vennie Haynes played the wedding march, and Miss Mabel Tullis and Miss Angie as bride's maid and Mr. Lane with Victor Tullis, as best man took their places under a beautiful floral arch and Rev. J. W. Barnett performed the ceremony. After congratulations from friends a three-course dinner was served. The house was prettily decorated, the color scheme being green and white.

Mr. and Mrs. Lane left at 7 o'clock for a short wedding trip, after which they will make their home in the northern part of the state, where Mr. Lane will fill a pastorate in a M. E. church. The young couple will go with the best wishes of all their friends and we feel sure they will be appreciated in their new field of labor.
