    The Greenly family held lands in Stanton-on-Arrow and Titley from the time of Henry VII. John Greeenly mentioned above, was the son of Andrew G. of Titley, and grandson of Edw. G., who m., 1610, Eliz., dau. of Thos. Burton of Salop. John Greenly was thrice married. By his 1st wife, Phoebe Hyde (related to Ann, w. of James II) he was ancestor of Elizabeth, who m. 1811, Adm. Sir Isaac Coffin, afterwards Greenly. Lady Coffin-Greenly bequeathed Titley Court to her kinswoman, Louisa Eliz., wife of Adm. Sir Thomas Hastings and then to Charles Williams Allen, who assumed the name of Greenly in 1866 and is the present owner. His father, Henry Allen, m. Charlotte Howarth, a grand-dau. of John Greenly by his third wife, Dorothy (Rogers), relict of Thos. Hopwood.
