18th February 1833 after the publication of two marriage bans, presented at parish masses, between Marcel Desillets, called Bernier, farmer, son of majority age of Augustin Desillets, called Bernier, farmer, and of the deceased Cécile Normand, of this parish; [meaning the groom is of this parish] and Geneviève Hudon called Beaulieu, daughter of minority age of Ambroise Hudon, called Beaulieu, farmer, and of the deceased Marie Victoire Lavoix, also of this parish [meaning the bride is of this parish] , the parties having obtained from my lord Viau, vicar general, dispensation from the third publication of bans; We, the undersigned parish priest, not having discovered any reason to prevent said marriage, have received their mutual consent, and have given them nuptial blessing under the ceremonies prescribed by our mother the holy catholic church, in the presence and with the consent of Augustin Desillets called Bernier father of the groom, of Pierre Bernier his brother, of Ambroise Hudon father of the bride, and of François Lavoix, her uncle, as well as the wedded couple, have declared, not knowing how to sign....
