  2.   Several sources (e.g., Source:Swift, George Henry. William Swyft of Sandwich and Some of His Descendants, 1637-1899, p. 6; Source:Representative Men and Old Families of Southeastern Massachusetts, p. 3:1560) show Mary Swift, d/o William, b. 7 Apr 1659, marrying Ezra Perry. George Swift identifies him as this Ezra, but even when not so identified, it could not be his grandfather (d. 1690) or his father (matches the age of this Mary Swift but is wife Rebecca lived until 1738). Ezra Perry, s/o John, was too young (b. 1693). It is hard to believe Ezra married a woman 20 years older than himself. Given that Mary is a common name, it is more likely, as for example, Source:Merrick, Barbara Lambert. William Brewster of the Mayflower : And His Descendants for Four Generations, p. 12 says, that the date and place of birth and parents of Mary Swift are unknown.
