Thomas Cutler m. widow Sarah Fiske, daughter of Samuel Reade of Burlington [sic, see note ]. She m. (3) Elisha Allis of Hatfield. 14 Jan 1765: "Whereas, a marriage is intended, by God's permission, shortly to be had and solemnized between Elisha Allis of Hatfield, in the County of Hampshire, in New England, and Sarah Cutler of Warren, in the county of Worcester, widow ... for two of her children, namely, Bethia Cutler and Oliver Cutler, ..."

  2.   Cutler (cited) says Sarah Fiske was a widow when she married Thomas Cutler, d/o Samuel Reade of Burlington. Source:Hudson, Charles. History of the Town of Lexington, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, from Its First Settlement to 1868, p. 147, says she is simply Sarah Fiske. Neither gives a marriage date (and no marriage record has been found) and both says she was born 8 Oct 1724 (and no such birth has been located under either name). However, both say the first Cutler child was born 1742 shortly before what would be inferred to be Sarah's 18th birthdate. The age at the birth of her first child makes it pretty much impossible that she was a widow when she married Thomas Cutler, so it seems likely her maiden name was Fisk, and that allows Source:Pierce, Frederick Clifton. Fiske and Fisk Family Being the Record of Symond Fiske, Lord of the Manor of Stadhaugh, Suffolk County, England, p. 98, to tell us that Sarah Fisk, d/o Ebenezer Fisk of Lexington m. Mr. Alless, which turns out to be confirmed by her father's will dated 1768 (Middlesex Probate 7573). [Note: Hudson has mixed information, under Fiske, p. 211, the correct birthdate is given and she m. "(?Elisha) 'Alless'", while, as cited on p. 147, it gives the wrong birthdate but is more definite that she married both Thomas Cutler and Elisha Allis.]
