  2. In its coverage of this family, Source:Allred, Marilyn. Town of Warwick, Franklin County, Massachusetts, Genealogical Records 1739-1900, Births, Marriages,, p. 276, cites a cemetery record in claiming that the 4 Town children who died in 1767 (Lydia, Mary, Timothy, and Miriam) were quadruplets, but this is undoubtedly a misinterpretation of the record. Allred shows no sign of being aware of the Oxford births. The Warwick record just lists the 4 deaths with no notice of births.

Source:Locke, John Goodwin. Book of the Lockes : A Genealogical and Historical Record of the Descendants of William Locke, of Woburn ; with an Appendix, p. 72, correctly attributes the Warwick deaths to children born in Oxford. But, in turn, it appears to have misinterpreted Miriam's birth as "Moses or Maria". It also makes no mention of several recorded Oxford deaths (this family having been visited by two separate scourges, one in Oxford in 1753 killing four children, besides the one in Warwick in 1767 killing four others). Noting the Oxford deaths would have helped correct the name on the 1748 birth, in order to match Miriam's 1753 death.
