In the 1850 census a Polly Way, age 10, born in New York, is recorded living with Edward and Polly (Newton) Way.

Regardless of whether she was the daughter of Polly (Sawtell) Way or Polly (Newton) Way, the Edward Way family was living in Michigan when David Way was born in Aug 1838.

Either the daughter Polly was born before David or she was born in Michigan.

If she was born in Michigan and if her reported age is correct then she would be a twin sister of Anna Way, the first daughter of Polly Newton.

If she was born in Michigan but was older then she would have been a daughter of Polly Sawtell.

The daughter Polly Way does not appear in the 1860 census so she either married or died before 1860.
