Where/how did Grammie and Pal meet? In 1910 (age 19), he was a single man working as a plasterer on the Loma Linda Sanitarium. They married in 1913 in Los Angeles County.

In 1920, they were living on Champion St in Battle Creek where Pal was working as a carpenter at the Battle Creek Sanitarium.

In 1930, they were living on Howland St in Battle Creek.

By 1935, they had moved to Imperial County, California. In the 1940 census, they are shown living on a farm in Imperial, and their 1935 residence was shown as El Centro.
