    13. Edward Coburn (Robert2, Edward1) baptized Sept. 4, 1670, at Beverley; married, March 19 *, 1694, Sarah Hayward, dau. of Nathaniel of Beverley; married (2) Mercy Butterick of Concord, dau. of Thomas and Dorothy (Edmunds) Hett, and widow of William Butterick, born Sept. 19, 1680.
    Children:
    ......i. Edward, b. about 1696
    40. ii. Samuel, b. about 1700
    41. iii. Robert, b. about 1700

Until 1709, his home was at Salem, when, with three others, he purchased 100 acres in Connecticut, on Little River, which was at that time a remote section, but afterward included in the Town of Hampton.
From there, in 1713, he removed to (Town of) Windham, Conn., where he was living in 1730, as on July 3d of that year he was admitted to the Church as a member.
A petition to the Probate Court in 1741, gives an approximate date of his death, and mentions Mercy, his wife, as still living. The later years of his life were spent at Concord, Mass., where he died.
