    Austin p. 254 says Ebenezer Brenton m. Priscilla Byfield. Bristol Church Records, p. 7, say he married Nov. 1687 widow Priscilla Waldron. Will of Ebenezer Brenton dated 8 Jan 1706, proved 26 April 1709, names 'brothers Jahleel Brenton of Newport and Col. Nathaniel Byfield of Bristol. Dr. Isaac Waldron, who married Priscilla Byfield [cites Early Rehoboth 1:78, but also note that marriage certificate was printed NEHGR 30:109], d. 1683 [citing index to Suffolk County Probate, case 1301, i.e., making her a widow at the time of the marriage].
