'Dennis Darling, or Denice Darley or Darlin, first appears in Braintree, Mass., where he was married by Peter Brackett, justice of the peace, November 3, 1662, to Hannah Francis.'

NOTE: This source interprets the date given in the Vital Records using new-style dating (11th month = Nov.), whereas it was likely old-style dating (11th month = Jan.).

'Denice Darly & Hannah Ffrancis were married the 11th. mo 3d. 1662 by Peter Brackett.'

Starting about 1655, Braintree records start to change from a predominantly day, month, year format to a predominantly month, day, year format. This particular record comes immediately after one for '7 mo 15, 1662' - clearly a month, day, year format.
