↑ That the name Cotton given in the marriage record might intend to say Cutting is hinted by their daughter's middle name, further hinted by the paucity of clues about any Judith Cotton, and is proved by the division of real estate of George Cutting in 1774 which names Judith Hill as one of the heirs [Worcester Probate 14935].
