Daniel Sprague, son of Ebenezer and Mary (Mann) Sprague, was born in Providence, R. I., March 28, 1712-13. He was a prominent resident and leading citizen of Johnston, R. I., and for many years held the office of justice of the peace. Daniel Sprague married (first) about 1730, Sarah Ballou, and (second) about 1736, Hannah Brown.
