1. Myra and Charles married after he had enlisted in the Army and shortly before being sent to France. The winters were too cold and she came back out to California, probably staying with her parents in Imperial and teaching there for 2 or 3 years. Charles came back to Imperial for a short time in 1919. Myra had tought in Los Angeles before marrying, and returned there to teach in the early 1920's. (Charles R. Nelson ltr 5 Apr 1995)
