Divorce Court At Maitland BEFORE JUDGE O'SULLIVAN LEISTIKOW v. LEISTIKOW. The issue of desertion was proven when Verona Scott Leistikow (formerly Glendinning), of National Park street. Merewether, petitioned for divorce from Charles Emil John Leistikow of Telarah. They were married on April 24. 1926, when Lesitikow was a time-recorder on the railway. Mrs. Leistikow said he travelled from place to place. Early in their marriage, he came home at week-ends. His visits gradually extended to every second week-end. Eventually, he returned home only rarely. He told her he had formed other friends and new associations and was "tired of coming home." About seven years ago, he ceased coming home. She asked him several times to come back, but be refused. She delayed applying for a divorce in the hope he would re- tern. She was satisfied he would never return.
