  5.   Note: This marriage took place almost nine and a half years after the birth of their one and only child Jane. She was actually born on 24 June, 1844 at No. 11 Lyon Terrace, given as the residence of her mother, "Jane Fuller" - who was also the informant for her registry of birth.S2 Although she did then name the father, "Charles James Augustus Dashwood" - occupation: "Esquire". And she may well have been a temporary guest at No. 11 Lyon terrace - as she does not appear as the resident there in Post Office London Directories for either 1844 or 1845.S3 However, by the time of the previous census, on 30 March 1851,S4 she and Charles were both living together - and as husband and wife, at his residence at No. 3 Westbourne Street, where he had been living since at least 1844.S3 So it is rather curious that, at the time of their marriage (22 Nov. 1853), not only was her residence given as "Maidstone", which was the town of her birth and where her father was presumably still living; but his residence was actually given as: "Trinity Rectory"S1 - presumably the home of the rector of the church. Although it appears he was not the officiating clerk, as it was one, "J. Green", who was given as he who married them. The rector at that time was the Rev. Thomas Garnier D.D. (1850-1859).
