Charles and Rosalie had three daughters.

In 1920, Charles, 43, and Rosalie, 41, were living in Jefferson Township in Allen County, Indiana, with their daughters, Rose M., 2 1/12, and Celeste A., 11/12.

Charles' obituary reads, "Charles T. Burns, aged 50, died Tuesday at his farm home 11 miles east of the city on the Lincoln Highway, after an illness of six months of a complication of diseases. Tuesday was his fiftieth birthday. Mr. Burns was a native of Illinois and for 10 years operated a farm in Jackson township, moving to his home in Jefferson township eight years ago. Mr. Burns had been president of the Jefferson Township Farm bureau and was a member of the board of directors of the New Haven Equity Exchange. He was a member of St. Louis Catholic church and was president of the Holy Name society of that congregation.: [Fort Wayne News-Sentinel, Wednesday 8 September 1926, pg. 20]

In 1930, Rosalie, 51, was a widow with three daughters, Rose Mary, 12, Celeste A., 11, and Teresa Ann, 9. They were living on Bertham Road in Jefferson Township.

After Charles' death, Rosalie resided at 809 East Creighton Avenue in Fort Wayne, Indiana, in 1950 and 1951.

Rosalie's obituary reads, "Mrs. Rosalie Burns, 74, 809 E. Creighton Ave., died at 8 p.m. yesterday in St. Joseph's Hospital after a 7-month illness. She was a native of Jefferson Township and lived there until moving to Fort Wayne eight years ago. Mrs. Burns was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers Society. Survivors are her three daughters, Mrs. Rosemary Urbine, New Haven; Mrs. Celeste Milkie, Hartford, Conn.; and Mrs. Teresa Umphrey, Fort Wayne; three brothers, Justin Lomont, Monroeville; and Clarence and Clem Lomont, Fort Wayne; and 11 grandchildren. The body is in the Tom Mungovan Funeral Home, where friends may call after 7 p.m. today. The Christian Mothers Society will recite the rosary at 8:30 p.m. Monday, after the Holy Hour. Funeral services will be at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home, and at 9 a.m. in St. Peter's Catholic Church, the Very Rev. Msgr. John Bapst officiating. Burial will be in St. Louis Catholic Cemetery, Besancon." [Fort Wayne Journal Gazette, Sunday 18 October 1953, pg. 18A]

They are both buried in Besancon Cemetery at St. Louis Catholic Church in New Haven, Indiana.
