Miss Kartherine McLaurin Married to Carl Callaway in Church Wedding Service.

One of the prettiest of the spring society weddings took place Tuesday evening at East Dallas Christian Church when Miss Katherine Mclaurin, daughter of Mrs. H. L. Mclaurin, 5019 Ross avenue, and the late H. L. Mclaurin, became the bride of Carl B. Callaway. An effective decoration of smllax and hundreds of cathedral candles formed the background for the wedding party, the bride wearing a modish yet old-fashioned gown of ivory satin and her attendants being in jonquil yellow costumes. The ceremony was performed by Dr. L. N. D. Wells, pastor, and Dr. William M. Anderson, pastor of First Presbyterian Church. This wedding is the third in the family on April 23, the bride's parents having married on this date and the bride's grandparents also. Robert McLaurin of Vicksburg, Miss., who was the best man in the wedding of the bride's parents, gave the bride away Tuesday night.

    [lengthy costume descriptions omitted]

Mrs. John G. Mclaurin attended the bride as matron of honor and other attendants were: Mrs. Fred Lummis of Houston, formerly Miss Annette Gano of this city; Mrs. R. W. Peatross, Mrs. Raymond Potts, formerly Miss Martha Scurry; Mrs. Jake Boles, formerly Miss Evantha Scurry; Mrs. John O. Wharton and Mrs. Edward Maher, also Miss Clare Tucker of Ardmore, Ok., and Miss Constance Coyle of Orange, the latter two being junior bridesmaids.

Little Margaret Coke McLaurin, flower girl, wore a dainty frock of ruffles yellow tulle, and Master Bobby Mclaurin, ringbearer, wore a suit of ivory satin and carried the ring in a white lily.

Dr. Hugh McLaurin attended the birdegroom as best man and ushers and groomsmen were Dr. John G. McLaurin, John T. Gano, Fenton Baker, Horace Williams, Dr. C. B. Carter and Hugh Grady.

For the reception the guests were received by the bridal couple, also Mrs. H. L. Mclaurin, Mrs. L. R. Callaway, mother of the bridegroom, R. L. McLaurin, uncle of the bride, who gave her in marriage, and Mrs. Lauch McLaurin of Port Gibson, Miss. Out-of-town guests included Mrs. J. P. Houstoun, formerly Miss Martha Gano; Mr. and Mrs. Franz Hinderman, New Orleans; also Mclaurin and Billy Scurry, who came from the University of Texas.

    [more description omitted]

Mr. and Mrs. Callaway left after the reception for a short trip to Biloxi and New Orleans. In the early summer they will leave for a two months' automobile tour of the Pacific Northwest.
