Calvin's obituary reads, "CALVIN RIEMAN IS DEAD AT 75 Former Councilman, Safety Board Member Calvin K. Rieman, 75, former city councilman and member of the board of public safety, died at 11:30 o'clock Monday night at his home, 535 West Wayne Street. Mr. Rieman served as councilman from the first ward from 1902 to 1905 under the administration of Mayor Henry C. Berghoff. He served as secretary of the board of public safety in the second and third administrations of mayor William J. Hosey, from 1914 to 1918, and from 1922 to 1924. He was a member of the Travelers Protective association for about 25 years and served many years as secretary of the chapter. At his death, Mr. Rieman was a member of the Knights of Pythias, Sons of the American Revolution, and was serving as president of the Aqueduct Club. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church and was affiliated with the men's club of the parish. Surviving is his widow, Etta Rieman. The body was removed to Klaehn & Sons' Funeral Home. Etta's obituary reads, "MRS. RIEMAN, LIFE-LONG RESIDENT OF CITY, DIES - Mrs. Henrietta (Etta) Falls Rieman, 84, of 535 W. Wayne St., died at St. Joseph's Hospital yesterday at 3:07 p.m. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, the Fort Wayne Woman's Club, and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Falls, Fort Wayne pioneers who settled at 535 W. Wayne St., where Mrs. Rieman was born and lived all her life. She is survived by a nephew, Charles B. Falls, of Falls Village, Conn. The body was taken to the Klaehn Funeral Home. Friends may call at her residence after 7 p.m. today. Funeral Services will be held at the residence at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, the Rev. George B. Wood, officiating. Burial will be in Lindenwood Cemetery." [Journal Gazette, Friday 9 May 1952, pg. 33]
