Benjamin F Carter, married Martha Adaline Bastin on February 5, 1874 at the residence of Mr. Jenkins, Miami County, Kansas.

Married first to Martha Adaline Bastin and after her death he married her sister, Elizabeth Jane Bastin. He was in the Confederate Army. Marriage license was found in the courthouse of Miami County, Kansas. Date of license was Feb. 4, 1874, between B.F. Carter and Martha Bastin. B.F. Carter was 27 years of age and Martha Bastin was 26 years old. Witnessed by A. Jinkens. Marriage took place on Feb. 5, 1874. seen on June 2006 by David Long.
