The marriage of Auke Jansen and Leysebet Jans has been frequently overlooked, probably because neither she nor her children were mentioned in Auke's will. In Dec. 1666, the guardians of Leysebet's children required that Leysebet and Auke sign an inheritance agreement to guarantee that her children would receive their inheritance from the father. The document is dated 16 Dec 1666 and it was probably the recent engagement or marriage of Auke and Leysebet which had prompted the guardians to request this agreement.
