Note: References to widow Mary Nye are curious and presumably wrong. Hester's mother was Keziah (Rider) Nye as shown by Hester's birth and death record both. Isaiah Nye d. 19 May 1836 and his wife Keziah died the 19 Oct following according to Chatham VRs, so there was no possibility of a second wife, and Keziah's mother was deceased at the time of this marriage.]
