Johanna Freer and her siblings were actually born in Bontecoe, an area 4 miles N of New Paltz, Ulster, NY, home to Johanna's grandfather, Hugo. Bontecoe no longer appears on any recent maps. The Old Dutch Church in Kingston, where the Freer children were baptized, was for many years, the only Dutch-affiliated in a large area, so people traveled many miles for baptisms and marriages. Just because someone was baptized in Kingston, don't assume they were born there.
