23 Oct 1751: "Abiel Lyon of Pomfret ... Yeoman and Sarah Lyon wife of the said Abiel Lyon and Mary Daniels of Mendon ... Spinster" for £4 quitclaim to John Daniels of Mendon all claim to estate of Rachell Daniels late of Mendon Taylor Deceased that She died Seized and Possessed of. [Note: not signed or acknowledged by Abiel: is this an error of the recorder?]
[Note: NEHGR, Vol. 55, p. 318, wonders if this means the widow of Woodland Thompson married Abiel Lyon. The answer is yes. Worcester probate files show that guardians were appointed for only four children of John Daniels: Salome [#15361], John [#15308], Mary [#15325] and Rachell [#15342] (i.e., no Sarah). Salome d. about 1737, and this concerns the estate of Rachel who d. about 1750. Her unmarried sister Mary and mother Sarah with new husband Abiel are releasing rights to her brother John.]
