In the news [3 September 2013]

Thanks for your support last month for my "in the news" idea:

"Regarding the In the News suggestion – this new section can replace the Volunteer Opportunities box on the Main page when there are enough volunteers to regularly maintain it."

I'm afraid I'm struggling a bit with finding volunteers - at the moment just myself and one other user who has expressed an interest but has yet to actually contribute. Assistance with this woudl be appreciated! AndrewRT 16:37, 2 August 2013 (EDT)

Hi Andrew, I posted the meeting minutes, but realized that I forgot to respond directly regarding this. The Overview Committee cannot really help with this project. It would need to be something that has volunteer interest and regular contributions. Upgrade [12 August 2013]

It would be useful if the committee could provide an update on this request and see if there is anything it or the community could do to "unblock" this. More generally, this page would infer that no suggestions have been implemented for over a year. Thanks AndrewRT 15:38, 12 August 2013 (EDT)

Searching for blank pages [17 August 2013]

"One other thing that would be a big help is if there was a way to parse the WR system looking for blank pages - or at least, pages with no birth dates, as well as pages that have 'Y' as the death date.
