WeRelate:Suggestions/"Edit Section" link

Original Suggestion & Discussion

Copied from the Watercooler

The editing link that appears with each new section is, in my opinion, a bit cumbersome. WeRelate uses a rather large type face, and the link is written out completely as "edit section." Furthermore, it floats to the right, and with pictures, template tables, etc. it ends up floating all over the page, making the page look a bit messy. The English Wikipedia simply uses "edit", and it's rather small (Example). Even better, I've always preferred the edit link on the other Wikipedias, such as the German (Example) and French (Example), where it appears immediately after the section title. It's much cleaner looking, and it never has a problem floating all over the place. — Parsa 21:12, 7 May 2011 (EDT)

I like that. Could you add it as a suggestion?--Dallan 16:29, 17 May 2011 (EDT)
Unfortunately this isn't as easy as it appears. I would have to modify the Wikipedia parser, which I'd rather not do right now. In the meantime I changed the text from "edit section" to just "edit" and I reduced the font size somewhat. You should see the changes in the next day or so as pages expire from the cache or they are edited.--Dallan 08:59, 18 June 2011 (EDT)

Now I feel thick, deservedly so. /cheers. --Goldenoldie 06:20, 5 July 2016 (UTC)
