I created Norwegian user language boxes that you may wish to place on your user page. The instructions and various templates can be found here: Template:User no-5. Let me know if you need additional language templates added or if you need any help putting these on your user page. --Jennifer (JBS66) 11:47, 27 March 2011 (EDT) thank you :)--EBSkomsvoll 12:02, 27 March 2011 (EDT) [add comment] [edit] Sources [29 March 2011]I've got some problems with sources, as the norwegian sources in werelate.org are directed to photographed films in Utah, Salt Lake City. I have no wrong words to say about Utah, and their excellent work for finding anchestors. But since the same sources is possible to be found in Norway at http://www.arkivverket.no/digitalarkivet. These files are made available for free by the owner, Arkivverket. For Church records (Kirkebok) its possible to point it down to the singular page or folio. Like for the record Foldereid: 1886-1914, Ministerialbok page 1, I can get the adress located down to the image: http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:NBN:no-a1450-kb20050330020965.jpg And with additional information where its from (in norwegian): Kildeinformasjon: Nord-Trøndelag fylke, Foldereid, Ministerialbok nr. 783A02 (1886-1914), Fødte og døpte 1886, side 1. --EBSkomsvoll 16:52, 29 March 2011 (EDT) I having been working extensively on the sources for the Netherlands, so I have an understanding of some of the problems you may be experiencing. Perhaps we can work together on one of WR's sources for Norway, and I can explain the steps I have taken to integrate both the local and FHLC information. The sources do not need to be focused only on the FHLC, adding other repositories and information is greatly welcomed! It appears the Foldereid Ministerialbok may be contained in Source:Kolvereid, Nord-Trøndelag, Norway. Kirkebøker, 1690-1927 - is that right? You can click here to see the list of scans. Then, I can describe ways to edit this source to include your information. I can also show you how these can be referenced on your Person and Family pages. --Jennifer (JBS66) 17:19, 29 March 2011 (EDT) Well, its a big job... and a lot of sources... maybe I just had to say it, but nice to hear your challenge with netherlands sources. After thinking about it maybe it is possible to do it like this: Source:Fosnes, Nord-Trøndelag, Norway. Kirkebøker, 1689-1904 where I added the links to the records located at arkivverket.no and added the respority of arkivverket.no - if that is the best way to do it?--EBSkomsvoll 17:41, 29 March 2011 (EDT) It is a big job - but I am enjoying finding and adding repositories for these sources that I didn't even know about before. I do think that what you have added to Source:Fosnes, Nord-Trøndelag, Norway. Kirkebøker, 1689-1904 is very good. One thing to note is that you can see what the source is intended to contain by clicking on the link next to Family History Center (and then click on View Film Notes). The records for Norway sound similar to the Netherlands (except it seems you have parishes) - but let me offer an example. I edited Source:Leeuwarderadeel, Friesland, Netherlands. Burgerlijke Stand - I removed all of the "Publisher" information that referenced the FHLC (they only scanned the documents, they didn't create them!). Then I added other repositories in the Netherlands where you can find the scanned images. These records cover births, marriages, deaths, etc - but I enter that specific information on the person page like this: Person:Eeltje Fokkema (1) (including a link to the scanned image). Please feel free to post if you have any other questions. I will watch your edits to source pages, and add some additional ideas as necessary. --Jennifer (JBS66) 18:44, 29 March 2011 (EDT) [add comment] [edit] Norwegian web site [10. jun 2014]You mentioned on your user page that there will be "a Norwegian version with the purpose to make trees for the whole population of Norway between 1800 to 1910". Has that happened? If so, where is it, and how can people search and contribute to it? Thanks.--DataAnalyst 13:31, 9 June 2014 (UTC)
