Thank You and Help [3 December 2013]

You are very welcome. You mentioned one example, that you'd like to expand upon Person:Florence Knupp (1). If you go to her page, on the right there is a link that says "Add Spouse and Children". Click that link, and you will be prompted to enter her husband's name and their marriage date (if you know that). Bear in mind that WeRelate does not allow the inclusion of living people. Another example - let's say that you wanted to add the parents for Person:John Knupp (1). You would go to his page and click the "Add Parents and Siblings" link where you would enter his father & mother's name.

I'm not exactly sure what caused the difficulty you had initially. If you have any problems in the future, don't hesitate to ask for help either on my talk page or WeRelate talk:Support. --Jennifer (JBS66) 17:20, 2 December 2013 (UTC)

I tried what you suggested and it seems to be working. I added a husband and children (all deceased of course) to Florence Knupp and I added parents to John Knupp. I think it looks right (the information is right). Can you tell me if I did my entries correctly? Thank you for this.

I would also like to add some sources to some of my facts. Specifically to Marriage, Death, and a few Births. Some of this information comes from images on other free sites. Some information comes from scanned images on my own computer. How can I add this source information to my tree?--Rphi1017 01:02, 3 December 2013 (UTC)

Looks good! The only small edits I made were to change the date format. The preferred format on WR is 2 Dec 1900.
As for sources, there are a variety of ways to enter that information. I added a sample death source for Person:Maxine Congrove (1). If you edit her page, you'll see there is an S1 in the death source field which connects to the S1 source citation below. I knew the source title on WR was "United States. Social Security Death Index", so I chose Source from the drop-down box and added that as the Title. If I did not know the Source title, I would leave the Source box as Citation only and enter the information I did know (such as URL).
If the image (such as a death certificate) is on your computer, you can upload that by choosing Add>Image. After the image is uploaded, edit the image and choose the person you'd like to link it to. Note, there is a small bug that if you choose the person right at the time of upload, it won't link properly to the person's page.
If you'd like, you can try entering a few sources/images, and I'd be glad to take a look at them for you! --Jennifer (JBS66) 15:59, 3 December 2013 (UTC)

I reviewed the date format changes you made. Apparently, I got careless while making some entries:-( Thank you for catching them.

As for source information - I will need to look at what you did as well as experiment with it some more. I may have questions later.

Thank you for everything so far.--Rphi1017 00:46, 4 December 2013 (UTC)
